Millions of Baby-Boomers around the world are rejoicing. In 2009 Stockholm's ABBA museum will open for Fernandos, Chiquititas, and Dancing Queens everywhere, but I think I might have found something that Gen-Xers can...take a chance on (Bam!). For fans of My Bloody Valentine, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, and the driving energy of early Stereolab I urge you to check out Blackstrap. Melodic guitars and pristine layers of sound dominate their sophomore album, Steal My Horses and Run. These Swedes know their dream pop.

Apparently they played the Tee-Pee Records showcase at CMJ this year. And since I'm allergic to CMJ I'm going to assume they were good and have some serious label interest. Look for the quintet to make some noise over here in 2008.
