Someone at Paste Magazine lost a bet

In an effort to increase magazine sales Paste Magazine has unveiled its top 50 albums of 2008, and it ain't pretty. I usually like to see lists from critics and bloggers, regardless of whether the publication dwells in the mainstream or comes from a blog that can't even register an Alexa rating, but this is embarrassing...wait, actually this is worse.

Look, I know Zoey D. is super attractive and adorable, but that album is not a 'best of' anything...unless we're talking about hot indie babes. And, um, maybe I'm just a sucker for dark, icy, progressive trip-hop, but where the fuck is Portishead?
